The need for valve body restoration
BHI Coatings performs valve body restoration across Alvin and the Texas Gulf Coast. Trim and actuator can be in fine shape while the body is finished. Erosion down the flow path, seat-and-stem wear, and corrosion at the gasket face retire the valve on their own. A worn body will not hold a seal, so it becomes a leak and an emissions risk, and cutting a welded valve out for replacement is a hot-work job and a long line break.
How BHI Coatings does valve body restoration
BHI Coatings rebuilds eroded body cavities and bonnet faces cold with machinable composites such as Belzona 1111, then overcoats the flow path with an erosion-resistant layer like Belzona 1321. Our crew preps the wasted internals, brings them back to profile, and reforms the gasket faces in place. The valve is restored where it sits, with nothing cut out for welding.
Typically applied with Belzona 1111, Belzona 1321, matched to the service conditions.
The body holds a seal again and the valve goes straight back into the line. You keep the valve and the trim you already own instead of buying and welding in a replacement.
