The need for anti-seize and component release
BHI Coatings performs anti-seize and component release across Alvin and the Texas Gulf Coast. Heat, scale, and corrosion lock the threads on bolted and threaded assemblies until the whole thing is fused solid. The next overhaul stops being a teardown and becomes a cutting job. Crews burn hours flame-cutting fasteners free, then replace studs, nuts, and sometimes the mating flanges, and every bit of that extends the outage and the bill.
How BHI Coatings does anti-seize and component release
We prep the fasteners and mating faces by hand, then apply a high-temperature anti-seize coating to the threads and contact surfaces. It happens in our climate-controlled Alvin shop or on your site during the outage. The coating cures cold, so no hot work goes near the assembly.
At the next teardown the components break free cleanly. Crews unfasten rather than cut, and the studs and flanges go back into service.
