High-temperature equipment lining
Equipment running well above ambient strips standard immersion linings, exposing bare steel to corrosion and process attack.
The need for high-temperature equipment lining
BHI Coatings performs high-temperature equipment lining across Alvin and the Texas Gulf Coast. Run a vessel well above ambient and a standard immersion lining comes off the wall. It softens, blisters, or disbonds, and bare steel is back in contact with the process. Corrosion and erosion then go at the substrate, thinning the shell and shortening the run between turnarounds.
How BHI Coatings does high-temperature equipment lining
We line hot process equipment with ceramic-filled coatings matched to the actual service temperature, not a generic rating. Our crew grit-blasts the interior to a clean profile, then trowels or sprays the lining during the outage. It cures cold inside the unit, so there is no oven and no hot work.
The vessel returns to hot service under a lining built for its real operating temperature. Wall loss slows, and the asset runs the full interval between turnarounds.

More High-Temperature Coatings applications
Bolted and threaded assemblies on hot equipment seize together, so the next overhaul means cutting parts free instead of unfastening them.
Learn more →Corrosion under insulation preventionWet insulation traps moisture against hot pipe and vessel walls, driving hidden corrosion that inspectors only find once metal loss is severe.
Learn more →Hot vessel and pipework in-situ coatingTanks, vessels, and pipework running hot cannot be cooled or drained, so conventional linings that need an ambient substrate never get applied.
