BHI Coatings performs elevator pit concrete rebuild and sealing across Alvin and the Texas Gulf Coast. Everything in a shaft ends up at the bottom of it. Groundwater, lubricant, and cleaning chemicals all collect in the pit, and the pooled liquid spalls the concrete floor and walls while sitting right next to buffers, springs, and electrical components. A wet pit is a corrosion problem and a safety inspection finding at once, and it can hold the car out of service.
How BHI Coatings does elevator pit concrete rebuild and sealing
We rebuild the spalled pit floor and walls, then seal them with a chemical-resistant lining that keeps the water out. Belzona 4311 and 4141 support the rebuild and waterproof lining. It is cold-cure and done inside the confined pit, with no hot work near the electrical gear.
Typically applied with Belzona 4311, Belzona 4141, matched to the service conditions.
The pit comes back dry and sealed, and the elevator is running again inside a maintenance day instead of a long shutdown.
