Separator vessel lining
Oil, gas, and water separators corrode at the water leg and internals where produced water and solids settle against the shell.
The need for separator vessel lining
BHI Coatings performs separator vessel lining across Alvin and the Texas Gulf Coast. In an oil, gas, and water separator the water leg and the internals take the worst of it, because produced water and settled solids sit right against the shell there. Low spots, brine, and abrasion all land in the same zone, so the original liner thins there before anywhere else. Breach the water leg and the separator comes off line, and the production train goes with it.
How BHI Coatings does separator vessel lining
Our crew preps the separator interior and applies a cold-cure corrosion-resistant lining sized for the produced-water service. Water leg, internals, and shell all take one continuous film, with no recoating seam anywhere in it. The system cures at ambient temperature, so no hot work happens inside the vessel.
The separator is back in service inside the turnaround you already have, with the water leg and internals under one lining.
